Bounce Kraze in Lancaster PA (Perfect rainy day activity!)

For kids going to a birthday party or a fair, there is nothing more exciting than pulling up and seeing a
bounce house. Now imagine a place, that is indoor and has numerous bounce houses to choose from.
Now sprinkle in some junk food and some arcade machines. Where could one find such a place? This is
Bounce Kraze in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

The Space

Bounce Kraze in Lancaster is a large warehouse that has been converted to hold 8 bounce houses. The bounce houses come in all types of shapes and sizes that are fun for all ages. The space also has an arcade space with a bunch of games.

There are tables to sit and enjoy the food and snack offerings and there are rooms available for parties. The tables also make a great place for parents to camp out while the kids are running around enjoying all the activities.

The overall space is about what one might expect from a converted warehouse. It still has high warehouse ceilings. Industrial-style lights are hanging in the rafters. It is not the most glamorous of places, but for a kid, none of that matters. For a kid, the important part is all of the fun things that can be done there.

The Bounce Houses

There are 8 inflatable bounce houses. They range from very basic and smaller for
the little kids although way up to full-scale giant slides and obstacle courses for the bigger kids. Two of the smaller bounce houses are separated from the others and marked as the toddler area so that the smaller children can bounce safely. My kids used pretty much every bounce house in the place, with my five-year-old taking on some of the more extreme options.

The Arcade

The arcade area is has a variety of games for the kids (and adults) to enjoy. Most of the games are the type that gives out prize tickets, however, they do have a racing game and a couple of claw machines. Most of the games are only one or two tokens which are nice, and the kids have a pretty good chance of winning a larger number of tickets.

The ticket counter where you turn in the tickets is similar to most arcades with lots of small prizes, but the staff when we were there was very flexible and rounded up our ticket number to get a few more prizes. Another fun part is that all the tickets are counted through a ticket shredding machine which is a lot of fun.

The Party Rooms

The party rooms are a decent size and painted in bright colors. While each room is
similar, they are all decorated differently. The staff sets up the rooms and decorates the room to a preselected theme. There are also options to add additional decorations to the room as part of their birthday packages.

The Food

Surprisingly, the food at Bounce Kraze in Lancaster is not bad at all. They offer a menu of items for purchase, as well as a catering menu for birthday parties. Since we were there for a party, we got to try the pizza and the hoagie tray. The hoagie tray was nicely done and tasted good. The pizza was a frozen pizza that was premade, however, it still tasted pretty good for “fake” pizza. They also have a slushie machine with 4 flavors. You can order one flavor or mix and match any combination of flavors you desire. The slushies were a big hit with the kids.

The Price

Bounce Kraze in Lancaster offers a few different options when it comes to its “open bounce” times. They offer just a standard 3-hour package, a package that gets you game tokens and food, or you can add food to the base package for a small fee. Overall, the price to take your child in to bounce for 3 hours at $12.95 is pretty inexpensive. If you upgrade to the full package, the price only increases by $6.
To me, this all seems reasonable.

The pricing of the food for someone who is coming in as general admission is also what I would consider to be pretty inexpensive. The “add a meal” option ranges from $3.50-$3.99 and comes with an entrée, a side, and a drink. All of the food prices outside of the meal plan are also on the inexpensive side. Even the pricing of the games in the arcade area is below average when compared to your average arcade setting. Plus, they are generous with the tickets.

The party packages come in a variety of options as well. They have a basic package that moves to a mid-grade package or all the way up to the “all-inclusive” option. They also offer numerous a la carte add-ons that can be put with any of the package choices.

Final Thoughts

Bounce Kraze in Lancaster is a fun place for kids to run around and have a good time. It’s a place where they can burn off some energy. There are snacks and games and more. With it being indoor, that means that weather will not have any bearing on whether or not you can go have a good time. Combining all of that with the pricing makes Bounce Kraze in Lancaster an affordable way to have a fun afternoon.
